Frequently Asked Questions
-
Why don't you accept in-network insurance?
I primarily work with physicians and healthcare providers, most of whom desire a high level of privacy and discretion. I honor this by allowing each client to choose whether to engage their healthcare insurance company in their mental health journey. Once information goes to the health insurance company, neither of us have control over how it might be used or shared.
-
Will you work with me if I am not a physician?
Yes, I work with any current or retired healthcare provider or student on the path. I will also consider working with partners and those in other professions whose work also requires a high level of discretion such as attorneys, politicians, public figures, and similar roles. Please contact me directly to discuss your needs.
-
Can you offer consultation or trainings outside the states in which you are licensed?
Absolutely! My clinical services - including psychological assessments - are limited to five states (MA, CA, CO, NY, TX). However, other services are not limited to these states.
-
Do you collaborate with any prescribers?
While I do not have any prescribers within my practice, I have longstanding relationships with several prescribers and can offer personalized referrals.
-
How do I know if I have Out of Network (OON) benefits through my insurance?
You can look up your insurance benefits online through your health insurance account or call your insurance. You can also try Mentaya. Mentaya is a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits. You can use Mentaya to check if your insurance will reimburse for OON benefits.
-
What forms of payment fo you accept?
Payment is due at the time of the session. Based on your preference, I will bill your credit card, FSA, or HSA card automatically.
